If Serpent Box was a film, we'd of course have a preview trailer. But it's not a film. It's a book. So how do you create something visual that doesn't ruin the reader's own perception of the world the book hopes to create? It's not easy, but we tried. The hope is that this short movie will convey a sense of time and place, a sense of spirit and tone, and nothing more.
I must give very special thanks to Phil Simon and Mondo Studios for producing this piece. They are fantastic at creating things of great visual impact. www.mondostudios.com
I must also give special thanks to Bob Gerics, whose haunting acoustic guitar composition really made this piece work, www.bobgerics.com, and to Jim Lively who graciously provided film-quality sound mixing, www.outpostfilm.com
